38 DAYS to 40 — FIXING INTERNAL CALIBRATION

Grandiosity is an assumed feeling of elevated specialness and exaggerated self-importance.

Impostorism is a feeling that our achievements or what people believe we are capable of is just because we are doing a good job of faking it and it is a matter of time before we’re exposed.

In both these, the biggest commonality I see is the malfunctioning or the complete breakdown of internal calibration.

It has, on several occasions, been revealed that my feeling of another person’s perception of me is actually my own perception of myself (for negative emotions) or an imposed projection of what I’d like it to be (for positive emotions). The older I get, the scarcer external validation seems to have become, and more pressing (at the neck) than ever before has become the need to build a reliable but also honest self-affirmation system.
