It is one thing to have different viewpoints on what happened but it is a whole other thing to debate whether it even happened.
The ever-growing number of media outlets has made it incredibly difficult to know what the truth is. And with history revisionism becoming a concerted effort by powerful people to aid their agendas, it has become almost impossible to know what the truth ever was.
To compound matters, we subscribe to channels that feed us what we already tend/want to believe, and surrounding ourselves exclusively with those sources makes us believe that is the real world - when we’re truly walling ourselves into our own wells.
