UNUSUAL STRESS RELIEVERS
In what was an intensely stressful week at work, I bit and tore a stressbuster smiley ball to shreds. Yes, bit. It had the audacity to cheekily smile at me when I was having tough days. Now that it has outlived its purpose, I need some new ideas to adorn my workstation. I am not interested in goldfish bowls or potted plants.
Here's my shortlist:
- A fishtank with baby piranhas and a sign that reads "Fish are Biting" or "Fish that likes Fingers"
- My own set of American tribal belly dancers
- X-Ray vision glasses
- Stressbust games like these - God's Playing Field
- A photo of me at my suckiest previous job that will remind me I'm really in heaven now

he he... Just remember that these 'stressful' days too shall pass! Paavum andha stress ball! Adhu ungala enna pannithu? :D 'spity(As Ern Goon says! :D) And about new ideas- Have the puffy air filled bubble packing sheet. Adhu onnu onnayum odaikkum bothu kadaikkara sandhoshame thani!!! Imagine each bubble to be the head of your torturer! he he... *devilish grin* :D
Thanks for stopping by my blog and do come again. You just need a bigger smiley ball one which talks and that will really stress you out because everytime you squeeze it the ball will say.I dont feel it.
errrr xray vision glassa? whate are you planning to look at?
One other good thing you can try is to count some frequently words used by people in meetings.
For exampe you may hear something like "sounds good", "intermittent", "process methodology", and each time you hear the word being said more than 3 times you can stand up clap and say "bullshit". :) you can even have members to play this game with you and finally decide who is the winner :) you have a good blog the vaala meenu remix song with shaving blade was really good!
Dude
Gods playing field is just too good.... its got that killer feel to it
Something that's no an "unusual" stress buster is a little sand garden with an itty bitty rake and you can fiddle with the sand.. it's very theraputic.. I have a tiny one, I can't even rake the dumb thing cuz it has too many temples and stones and cranes in it =P.
@jeevan: haha!
@sandhya ramachandran: good idea. i used to do it before, but u need the big bubbled sheet, the small one is kinda irritating..
@starry nights: ayyo, i cant even imagine a stress ball that talks!!!
@kausikram krishnasayee: got the inspiration from a tip to imagine the audience is naked when u have stage fright.. :-)
@indianangel: thanks for dropping by :-) glad you liked the song. and i really like the idea you gave - used to do that in college during most of the lectures. good one for meetings :-)
@grey vampire: yea.. lots of satisfaction from the annihilation :-B
@orange fronkey: never heard of this. where do you get these?
Ahem! I've ripped that thing apart too ! Gives immense pleasure, trust me ! :D
sure dude...siphoning our rage is d best way to beat d stress...and smiley ball's a safe bet!! :)
Ripping tht reminds me of wht I used to do when I was angry...I had read somewhere tht I should hit the ants on the floor so I would hit them n they would struggle n then start running away again...I stopped tht within a few days as I didnt want to end up killing those things with my bare hands! I am a murderer in all non-senses!!! :)
Vinay: any oriental looking place =P
Or you can make your own by getting the top of a shoe box, fill it with sand and use a mullu karandi as the rake... and use bi puliyangottais as the polished stone kekekeke..
Wow...never seen / heard anyone bite the ball to shreds. You must have solid teeth..Do you use Vicco Vajdradhanthi?
Just kidding :-) take care Vinesh..glad you didn't bite your Boss's hand.!
