Last night saw a brilliant display of football from Zinedine Zidane, who scored an unbelievable header in the dying minutes of the FIFA final. Truly a mark of genius.Some say Materazzi hurled racist abuses at Zidane, some say they called him a terrorist, while from the video, it seemed to me as if Materazzi clutched Zidane's boob. And it isn't as if Zidane has had a clean sheet in the past either. Playing for Juventus, he headbutted Jochen Kientz in a Champions League match. In 1998, he was red carded for stomping on a Saudi Arabian player.
Like everybody else, I am waiting for Zizou to talk about the incident.

I think if there was a personal problem between them, this is not the correct place to show. anyway WC finished peacefully.
Zidane didnt too pretty bad for himself, despite being red-carded, with the Golden Ball and all, did he? :)

arrgghhh don talk abt zidane sent away part of de final...i watched all of the 90 mins plus de first fifteen of de extra half hour...i slept thru de next fifteen and thats when it all happens!!!!not fair!!!
Dont really agree with you vinesh...incidents like these are just aberrations and dont really stay on forever...Zidane will always be remembered for his and only for his extraordinary soccer skills...

My friends were telling me that Zidane was a very soft guy and that he had been provoked into this... is it true??? that video on Materazzi was terrible... spoilt sport...
