Who doesn't like the smell of wet earth just after rain has finally kissed the ground? There is no known form of resistance to maNNvaasanai stirring one's intrinsic emotions!
In my new house, I wake up to maNNvaasanai every morning. The urchins in the colony choose a well padded area right outside my window to unwind their forces of nature. I have made a signboard in the regional language that reads "Only dogs may urinate here" and will stick it on the wall tonight.
A sight that disturbed me today was that of a foreigner, dressed in beach shirt and shorts, spraying his holy water on the wall of a building on a major road.
I know that Indians, who do all kinds of nonsense here, go to a country like Singapore and follow their rules on the road, cleanliness and so on. So I guess that the foreigner is only returning the favour.

I agree with senthil...wat u told is 100% true...more public privys shud be build in most crowded places and need to be maintained properly...government have to give importance to these things..
Thats why most of the foreign countries are more clean and well developed...

How will they b able to read the signboard in the night? I presume it is a darkplace or a dark corner.
the government should put a stright Rules to control this people.
unless some Rules are enforced ppl dont take it too seriously...... jus rules also wont help coz i feel indian government is lacking ppl to enforce them... wonder why cant they put ppl who are claiming themselves jobless for all these kinda stuff like ensuring ppl dont litter on the road....... and they follow traffic rules... etc etc..........!!
