SUDDENLY ALONE

The thought of listening to the sound of only my footsteps frightens me; no more you to walk with!
Grow up, stupid kid - you're 26 now!

A very intense line! But don't kill the child in you, for in life, all that matters is true bliss!

hmmm...some rather intense posts from u!!! wonder what brings these forward?!?!

the kid in us is different to the adult tht wont grow up and behaves immature! huge differentiating line...

:( Why u thiking of such things?
..we tend to take some things for granted na? And refuse to even consider the possibilities.. like u just did.

As u said, at times, we need the reassurance in life, Two weeks back, when I had a hair-cut in a saloon, there was a five year kid, who was scared and cried n made a scene. His grandpa was holding his hand, till the barber was done with the kid, Many times. i get scared, what if the knife hurts me, what if the guy's scissors cuts my skin. i am scared, but there,s nobody to hold hands and give that reassurance, wish I was a kid to extend my hand whenever i'm scared.

very thought provoking n intense posts from u for a while anna...

I can relate to how you feel. If I may, a piece of suggestion, get used to your own footsteps and find comfort in them, if someone comes along, its great! But, please don't let the child in you grow up and become bitter about these things.

@rakesh vanamali: sometimes the child pulls back what the adult has achieved, that is required to survive in this world...

@anu: i guess, anu..

@divinediu: are you joining my office?

Vinesh said...

@v. archana: mm..

@manasa: yea, i guess i need to hear that loud and clear. you can say that again!

@arunima: when you were happy being together, then all solitude does is kill.

Vinesh said...

@keshi: but sometimes the child pulls back what the adult has achieved...

@jeevan: what if it is a stupid, stubborn kid? :-)

@preethzzz: changes in life, preethzzz, what else? it's the adult that refuses to grow up, because the kid was pampered for so long...

@mythily: :-(

@suma: my sister, who was also my colleague, has now left for another organization. i have never known what my workplace is like without her...

@shruti: i did take things for granted, shruti. no matter how hard i try, it's one trap i can't but fall into at some point or the other...

when i was in my mid teens i used to want and try so hard to grow up and BE PERCEIVED AS A GROWN-UP. At twenty i realize that the best thing that has happened to me is i've still retained that child which occasionally wants to grow up(refer to the recent post you commented on), but at the end of the day returns to being a child and living life. trust me i've seen people around me who were BORN HOUSEWIVES and i pity them.

keep that child alive.
:)

Vinesh said...

@the seeker: i can very well relate to the example you talk about...

@elithraniel arawion said: yes, but until i do, it's going to be a difficult path...

@ghost particle: gotto know at some point where to leave the kid behind i guess...

Vinesh said...

@banashankari!!: as an adult, i understand your suggestion. but try telling the kid that, and he goes "brrrrrrrtttt" sticking his tongue out at me! it's going to take a while!

@aaarti: yes, but the child has got it's time and place in an adult's life, right? otherwise - what's the point in growing up?

@jadis: hmm.. i see what you mean. the child will remain alive inside me. just got to know when to remove the duct tape from its mouth and when to gag :-)

Yeah. Gimme the address. I'll be there. =)

@chriz: am sure you have your 26-month old moments too :-)

Somehow, I feel loneliness was less scary as a kid. Intense.

That makes a lot of sense, but then there is a little child in all of us, and it sure gets scared and lonely once in a while.
