Click on picture to view enlarged version.

Found this picture quite by accident and thought it was incredibly cute! I usually enjoy looking at pictures of famous people in their younger days, and this one especially melted my heart.

  8. @--xh--: isn't it? :-)

@lena: the guy is Rajiv Gandhi, former prime minister of india (third in a generation of prime ministers of india from the same family) and his italian wife Sonia. Rajiv was assassinated by a human bomb, and his wife today leads the political party that heads the Indian government.

Had 'Dhanu' (the human bomb that killed Rajiv Gandhi) seen this photo, she wouldn't have had the heart to indulge in such an insane act.

  25. Vinesh :::::I agree it was sad.U will not beleive when ever I used to cross Kathiparai Junction near Guindy or when I am caught in the famous traffic Jam I invariably notice RG 'S poster near the signal(oUR Political Heros change the poster every week).he was a charismatic person and his image could have lifted Globalised India in a much bigger way than it is today.Today leaders need Skills and charisma ..Do u agree...?

  40. I came across your blog and this picture while blog hopping and I think it is a beautiful picture of 2 people in love and just enjoying the simple pleasures of life. Oh to be young and carefree. Although I think there might have been body guards for Rajiv at least they are not visible here.
Thank you for sharing this picture
