SPOT THE DIFFERENCES

Everybody has a reason to indulge in violence - call it "fanaticism", "political mileage", "power games", "cause", "struggle for liberation"... Who is to ascertain whose violence is justified?

But how can any violence that results in intended harm towards innocent people EVER be justified? Must their perpetrators not be crushed like a cigarette stub? Vile beasts.

Violence has different forms of intensity, the mild, the strong, the extra strong and the medium. also the worse thing is that we're becoming more immune to it. I just remember one event when there was a bomb blast in jaipur, and I was in my friends place, they were tuning in news channel , and the father said," watch that news channel, they cover it well. they even had exclusive shots of the bomb blast site"\
\
I wondered how we have been tuned into it. We need good coverage of violence to understand them. The intensity is more, only when there are more casualities. Where are we heeding?

Violence should never ever be justified, not because of any reasons but also because , its not the pah for justice or solutions to endless disharmony .

isn't it sad how immune we have become to this too :(...

when you see kids playing bomb, bomb etc...that's when you realise the unconscious impact on the young minds...

how can any violence be justified?

I agree with you. Violence and harm inflicted on innocent people under the pretex of 'cause' and 'struggle for liberation' should not be tolerated at all.

@the seeker: true. it's becoming something that we're adjusting to, let alone fighting!

@prats: i believe so, too!

@suma: in my days, we played "teacher teacher"!

@jeevan: sadly sometimes, people take silence as a reason to indulge in violence..

@v. archana: :-)

@maha: glad u think that way.

@ravi: oh, you saw it. i thought i removed it before anyone saw it. my wife felt that the strong words in the post coupled with the choice of images could get me into trouble with the fanatic groups in India. i also have a history of getting into trouble through my blog. so decided to play safe.

@tys on ice: i only said there can be no discussion surrounding the intentions of people who harm innocent people. the perpetrators of such violence are by no means innocent, and they need to be wiped off the face of the earth! just like punishment for rapists - must be most horrible.

There are certain times and situations when one is not sure about how to react to such violence. Like you mentioned in the previous comment, whether we deal violence with violence (Punishment) or do we ought to deal with it from a deeper understanding of the causes for the violence and trying to eradicate it from the roots? Either way, it is going to be tough!
