SHE WAITED...

From everyday kisses
To once a week hugs - to monthly phone calls - to occasional SMSes,
He procedurally moved away from her.

Yet, when he continued to tell her that his feelings for her would never change
And that she was the one he loved most,

She believed him.

Even when he did not return her calls to congratulate him
On his wedding
Or on the birth of his first child.
Both of which she found out when she read his blog.

She desperately waited for his next blogpost
To see if his daughter was named after her.

Well, well. Dark and bitter. Rather like chocolate.
Must keep writing! Don't let the blog lie idle.
Or, I will prosecute you in the Blog Court for blocking valuable Blog space! Har, har, good to see you're back.

@guru: what? no, it's not what you're thinking! :-)

@div: hi div, i wouldn't call this a poem. it is prose that didn't look good in a single paragraph. so i broke it up and gave it this format.

it's hurting and mean that i write stuff like this :-)??

@manasa: i would call the girl "twisted", actually :-O

Hey anna, Hope I will be blogging the same years later, One fine day, with the memory of the girl whom I met, who is so much in my mind, I'm not gonna tell her name, But after her, life is not the same. It feels like a no-end game.

Nice poem.

But would any modern girl specially one who writes and reads blogs wait so long. If she has her own blogspot she may expose him totally. :)

I'm here after a long time....and this one is beautiful! How you been?

Vinesh said...
