ROACH APPROACH

I suggest that our Hon'ble Union Minister for Railways, Shri Lalu Prasad, read this article on cockroach scarcity in India.

Excerpt: All over the country, colleges that offer biology courses are paying 50-100 times more to buy cockroaches for students to carry out their dissection practicals. Most suppliers today charge anywhere between Rs 5 to 10 per cockroach. Three years ago, colleges were paying Rs 15 for a bunch of 100 cockroaches.
Who would've thought there'd be a dearth of cockroaches for biology students performing dissection?! I mean, what is India coming to when an average biology student cannot have a basic minimum of 2 cockroaches per lab class?

At the current selling rate of Rs. 10 per cockroach, this is a must-not-miss opportunity for Indian Railways to triple profits in 2008!!

Idea courtesy my sleeper class experience in Chennai Mail over the weekend.

I have a treasure in my kitchen garden and I had no idea..
lalu claimed today he is making a huge profit from railways, I think he already has had the idea.He is probably breeding cockroaches int he trains.

I can't imagine a cockroach scarcity. They are supposed to the only creatures who cannot perish even in a nuclear holocaust. Wonder what is threatening them?

Railways can also solve crisis for rats, rodents and all insects of rare species, which you cannot find in normal public places...

is there really a crisis? I think ppl are not skilled enuf to catch cockroaches... and wat will they do in countries like china where ppl eat cockroaches? :O
