THE MAKING OF BEEF NOODLES

When I complained about recalled frozen pizzas, my sister reminded me that I once used to eat at Lavanya Kabab Center (fondly known as LKC), a roadside eatery where a big plate full of chicken fried rice was Rs. 20 and egg noodles Rs. 15. The speciality of the place was, of course, the chicken - carefully shredded by sweaty hand. And of course, there was Shiv Sagar, where mini-meals cost Rs. 15, and worked out the most cost-effective dinner every night. I was new in Bangalore then, with a meagre salary and no kitchen in the house I shared with three other boys. How poorly my health compared to money back then that I would continuously risk it - quite unbelievable now!

To end on a foodie note, here is a video of me making beef noodles in my lonely apartment in Detroit. It was made in January 2007 and has been on YouTube, but I realised I never blogged it.

Depending on your response, I will decide if I should have my own cooking show and get Penelope Cruz to be co-host! :-)

This is Ravi from Bollywood Buzz.

Thanks for visiting my blog and leaving a comment, buddy :)

You've got a gr8 blog and I like your sense of humor also (never knew making noodles can be so much fun, what with all that music and dance steps!)

Take care!
