MINDBLOGGLING

So many blogs to read, so little time :-(
Am finding it increasingly strenuous to keep track of friends' blogs. Especially since I don't have much time on my hands anymore, reading very long posts has become near impossible!

It is difficult to leave comments for every post that I read. More so now, thanks to Word Verification :-( Also, Blogger opens comment boxes of different blogs in the same window, which is very irritating!

Sometimes, I ask a blogger a question, and by the time it is answered, I have become lost to the fact that I've asked a question! Blogger should introduce some mechanism by which I can know if someone has responded to my comment in their blog.

Reading blogs is a means of relaxation for me. I appreciate suggestions that will help me make it stay that way.

TIDBIT: Stumbled upon the existence of Google Blog Search (yup, only today), and am so happy to see that the site has an orange theme! I love it! Here's to Orange Juice! :-)

hehehe btw loved the pic! clever stuff... so hows the composing of annoying noises going?

Yeah true... Sometimes I wake up to see every blog I have in bloglines having a new post and so it becomes difficult to read everything.

But somehow managing to read just about everything. However, leaving comments to every post is near impossible. Not because of time. But I might not be able to relate to every post I read.

And yeah, if u come across such a feature which can enable me to figure out a response to my comment, let me know.

Until then, I shall come back to your blog to check if you have left a response.

hahaha welcome to the next step in blogging......this phase is difficult...but this will fade out in some time...the next one [nothing interesting to write abt] will be still more difficult...

@Preethi: I did spend some time on the picture, yeah :-)

Hey, the song is in the back of my mind. I don't have a deadline for it, so I'll do it as I go along! :-)

@Somu: Buddy, let's see if this post gets some responses that could provide us with a solution! :-)

@Me: Buddy, is this like Rajnikanth's ettu ettaa manishan vaazhva pirichikko? :-)

@Kalai: Thanks for reminding me :-) Replied to that one :-) Welcome to Orange Juice :-)

hey & for the soln for trackback of comments...

i had setup blogger for a mail when someone comments.. so when i reply to thier comment in the blogger, i do reply them in mail also.. but that seems to be double work haan ?!

Vinesh said...

@Senthil: Haha, I didn't plan or list out any names for this picture. Just entered as many as came to my mind at that moment!

I hope no one finds their name missing, and feels bad about it. Folks, it wasn't intentional!

I did have comments to be sent to my email too, but that would only be for my blog. It is still difficult for others' blogs :-(

Hye nice pic :-)
btw try firefox browser na .. tht allows u to open multiple windows and hence may help u comment in several blogs at the same time.

Vinesh said...

@Sneha: mm.. Will try that.. part of the problem solved is better than nothing at all.

I agree with u Vinesh. I also fell very lasy to read big post, but what can we do, if we dint read that post we will lose a good friend. i am also trying to put the post small.

I curse abt this everyday and still end up somehow reading everything n commenting on things tht i feel like. And the pic is damn good da! How come no orange in the pic? If I have time, I might juz be able to create a RSS reader to solve our problem! But the problem is tht im lazyyyyy :(

The search has just begun !!!

hehhehehe i know - i google to find out where ive been ;p

Vinesh said...

@Jeevan: You're right buddy. Sometimes people don't visit your blog unless you've visited theirs.

@Random Access: No orange cos it's all drained out :-)

Buddy, do create that feed thingy. Can you make it such that it accomodates comments also directly from one point? If you create such a software, you could strike gold. And generations of bloggers will be grateful to you :-)

@Visithra: Thats a good idea, hehe :-)

sailing on the same boat!!
i barely get time to blog too much.. so my posts aint too loong either.. so u can read mine!! :D
plus no word verification!! i hate tht too!

..p..

Bhumi said...

vinesh...i know its difficult for commenting back on ppl's blog who left comment on your blog.

And i dont see any remote chances of sucha mechanism where u can find if the blogger has answered ur question!! RSS is a way u can find out new posts on other blogs..not beyond tht

the pic is cool, btw :)

hehehe, same frustration.. Sometimes reading blogs take up so much time.. and i had to open a blogger account just to leave comment and now i even started posting there ...

Vinesh,

Realized the value of word verification... Every post of mine is immdly followed by atleast 3-4 junk comments ! Now after implementiong word verification, am able to control that !

Vinesh,
Any solutions yet ?

Anonymous said...

All the readers of this Blog. please visit Youthcurry.blogspot.com or sambharmafia.blogspot.com and just folow the blog. there is a very hot issue comming up regarding a legal suit by IIPM againts some bloggers for posting the truth about IIPMs.

Vinesh said...

Thanks for your replies buddies, but I have not been able to get a perfect solution to this problem! :-(

Some suggestions were:
1. Bloglines
2. Mozilla browser
3. Google(!)

For now, I have created an offline HTML page which lists all the links I want to visit on the left pane, and as I visit each blog, the links on the left remain intact, aka Bloglines, but I don't have to login :-)Am also working on the comments bit..

hey vinesh Google Reader seems to be amazing..It should be a good solution for your problem!

But one cannot leave comments on the reader itself. The article has to be accessed using this service and then commented upon.
