BULLA KI JAANA MAIN KAUN...

Bulla Ki Jaana Main Kaun

Simply went off air for a while, but as my friends and well wishers, you deserve an explanation...

Blogs are for those who want to read them; others can suck lollipops in their mommy's laps. Unfortunately, many have not understood that point.

Things got a little rough with my spoofs on Karunanidhi and my college principal. I forgot this WASN'T America where you can have a picture of your President with a pencil stuck up his ass. Tolerance is too low, and a submarine couldn't help understand people's tolerance levels.

Some felt the Principoll spoof was an issue regarding the prestige cooker of the college concerned. So I wish to honour their prestige cooker. Guys who danced to ID COD are now wearing khadi. Pseudo-patriotism always amuses me! :-)

Though the percentage of people who loved my posts far outnumbered the losers, the losers won because they proved how low they could get (will spare you the unsavoury details).

I am renouncing blogworld. Will return only if faith returns that I can blog what I want to, but I very much doubt that. I will talk about skin creams, stupid ISPs and everyone else who suck, WITH NAMES. I do not wish to "refine" or re-define myself for anybody.

I thank all my genuine blog readers.

Till then......
Bulla Ki Jaana Main Kaun...

Too bad to hear about the ordeal that you had to go through. I do hope that you get back to blogging soon. There is no point paying heed to people who cannot take things lightly.

On a slightly different note, Bulla Ki Jaana Main Kaun is a wonderful song to hear when the chips are down, I've heard it over 50 times (at least).

Looking forward to seeing you soon!

I wonder what happened. Take care Vinesh.!

I too was wondering what happened to your blog. And I ouldn't imagine what would have made it bring down. True, when you step on others' nerve you'll never know what you'd get. But your blog was a reflection of your character and there seems to me no reason to discontinue blogging. Is spoofing on your Princi and Karunanidhi the only facet of your persona? Think again.

hey vinesh-thats very sad. Why the hell are you bothering about them. This happened to my brother too. But he continues to blog.re-think.Its not worth taking this decision for a few worthless souls.

I really loved your posts and your caustic take on life. Why don't you rethink your decision on blogging? I really don't know what has happened, but if it's just a question of people objecting to your posts or "Guys who danced to ID COD are now wearing khadi" as you put it, then maybe it isn't worth doing this to appease them.
Anyways, I have enjoyed your writing and I really hope you get back to blogging.

Hey Vinesh,
I do really really hope you are back to blogging. I guess such things happen even in real life , as in, there would always be someone who doesn approve of what we think/do. Take your time but please be back. I really enjoyed your thoughts and the way u put them too :). Be back soon...

Hi Vinesh,

I usually don't appreciate others' blog or leave a comment on others' blog but then the truth is your blog was good, and hence I bohtered to put few thoughts of mine on your blog. And what happened to you is nothing when compared to what happened to me.
In fact when I started blogging, I was working for Sify.com. And my boss asked me "you want your job or you want your blog." I said, "I want 'freedom' of expression, and if I am not what I am, then there is no point in living."
I walked off without a job in hand, and I am making good money through my blogsite now.
If you quit blogging midway, then it surely is a cowardly move. And I am sure men with guts & balls should never compromise on self respect.
All said and done, my prediction for you is - YOU WILL START BLOGGING SOON!

If you trust in God, you need not bother about mortals :)

This is what my father told me once about what life is - it is about pulling a mountain using your hair. 'Vanda malai, pona mayiru!

God Bless You

Kaushik Ramajayam said...

Hi Vinesh,

I agree with most of the above comments... if you quit, you're letting them win. You had stated very clearly that no disrespect was intended and it was all in good fun, so their accusations have no basis. I guess the illogical cynicism we saw in many at our alma mater has remained with some even after graduation.

Also, blogging is a phenomenon precisely because you can write whatever you want with it. A newspaper might reject you, but with a blog, you are your own publisher, your own master. Critics can tear their hair out, but they can't stop you from saying what you want to say.

But of course, I'm sure we all respect your decision. And we hope you regain faith and return to the blogworld.

Cheers,
Kaushik

i can imagine what wud have happened.. Some sick mails in ur class groups or some sick calls from ur very own friends who matter to u a lot..

But if they r friends convince them.. if they arent ur friends kalaasify them in this very platform.

U shud stop blogging when u want to and not when others want to. Its sad that ppl took it serious.. I wrote so many shit about crescent.. And I have been so lucky that all I've got is appreciation and not regrets.. We r reflecting what was there when we studied and we r entitled to so.

but I guess this decision to temporarily quit blogging may be becoz of other reasons like losing ur productivity in office.. wasting a lotta time.. losing sleep due to addiction and so on.. It has just come out now bcoz u think u have to reason to quote..

Jus my 2 cents.. think abt it

Dood..

I know that yo gonna be back 2 blog-o-sphere in the very near future..

May be u might need 2 do some rethinking and please let me voice out my views..

U can still blog on whatever U want to..There are so many other gr8 things u can write about...I agree that casual mocks on people that u have come across are indeed enjoyable but people are different and u can not deny that..So, y don't u blog on different themes..am sure that it would be the wisest thing to do at this point of time..

Hope u wud make a better decision..:)

ioiio said...

Looks like u also took out the ID COD song from here.. BUt u know its also there in my blog as well as Sri's blog..

How are u planning to take that away?

Oops! Come back soon. Its all in the game man. Always take the good in anything. I am sure 95% of the readers would have enjoyed your posts. Do not really care for those 5%. Life is shortlived do what u like the most.

Ravi said...

Hi Vinesh, having got used to the orange juice everyday, a day without it seemed tough! Good to see you back. As you rightly said, your "fans" outnumber your "haters". So just relax, stay cool and continue your good work! Happy Independence Day!!

Come on Vinesh, these things are expected in a society where people have gone behind bars for publishing a joke - I am referring to Ananda Vikatan's editor. If what you had written were real life incidents - you just presented facts that were funny. If they were exaggerated even mildly - may be the prestige cooker has a point. Looking forward to reading your blogs once again.

hey vinesh seriously.. was wondering where the hell u disappeared all this while.. ur blog is damn entertaining.. and it wud be a waste to let such a blog end abruptly.. this sucks! :(

Vinesh, dont give up bloggin coz someone wants you to. Blogging is "self" expression, i hope they understand the meaning of "self" and get on with their lives.

I'm sure a lot of us come here to read what you have to say, not to read what 'other people want you to say'!
Dont give up.

Vikram H said...

dude, come on da...Im sure you're not the kinda guy who's gonna give a damn to what others tell u about yourself! If u dont blog anymore, then u have already 're-defined' yourself and given a chance to these guys to proclaim mental and 'moral' victory over you!!

Dont let them bog down your freely flowing spirit and enthusiasm...Keep going!!
